Players Management
This page only applies to the Normal version (SB_SpinBottleGame). The Lite version (SBL_SpinBottleGame) has no join step and no players panel — anyone can spin the bottle immediately.
On the Normal version, players must join before they can spin. The game tracks up to PLAYER_CAPACITY players on a synced players panel, and the first player who joins becomes the owner for as long as they stay.
Player Capacity
PLAYER_CAPACITY (default 8) limits how many players can join the game at once — this is the only version where this constant behaves as an actual player limit, since Lite has no join step. It lives in the shared SB_Config script; see Table Size on the Configuration page for where to change it.
How it works (SB_PlayersManagement)
- Joined players are tracked in a synced list. The owner is whoever occupies the first slot — normally the first player to join. If the owner leaves, the next player in line is promoted to owner automatically.
- While the game is locked, new players cannot join.
- When the last player leaves, the game automatically resets (landed sentence and last player cleared) so it's ready for the next group.
Buttons (SB_UIInteraction)
Wire these public methods to your UI buttons' OnClick events:
| Method | Description |
|---|---|
EnterGame() | Adds the local player to the game. Wire to a Join button. |
ExitGame() | Removes the local player from the game, resetting the game if they were the last one in it. Wire to a Leave button. |
ToggleLockGame() | Flips the locked state. Owner-only — does nothing for any other player. Wire to a Lock / Unlock button. |
ChangeText() | Rerolls every sentence on the table. Owner-only. Wire to a Reroll button. |
ResetGame() | Clears the game back to empty (no players, no landed sentence). Owner-only. Wire to a Reset button. |
UI Styling
The players panel, player cards, and game menu panel are all styled from one shared color theme, SB_ConfigUI — see the UI Configuration page.
