Player Tags
This page describes an optional integration. If the Player Tags field described below is left empty, or you haven't installed the Player Tags asset at all, every role's Player Tag dropdown simply shows "No Player Tags" and nothing else needs configuring — the Security System works exactly the same either way, with no errors.
If the separate Player Tags asset is also present in your world, each role can automatically show or hide a floating tag above a player's head the moment the role is granted or revoked — see that asset's own docs for what a tag is and how to build one.
Setting It Up
- On
SS_RolesManagement, drag your world'sPL_PlayerTagsobject into the Player Tags field, under its own "Player Tags" header at the bottom of the Inspector. - On each role you want to show a tag, pick one from that role's Player Tag dropdown (see Defining a Role) — it lists every tag currently defined on your Player Tags setup.
One Tag At A Time
A player only ever shows one tag at a time (see Player Tags' own docs). If someone holds two roles that each have a different Player Tag configured, the tag shown is always the one from the more senior role in the Role Hierarchy — whichever role requires the other — regardless of which order the roles were actually granted in. If neither role requires the other, the lower one in your Roles list wins.
