UI Configuration

The visual configuration of the Players Board is split across two GameObjects inside the prefab:

  • _UI — holds the PL_PlayersBoardUI script, which controls the layout and scrolling behavior of the board.
  • _configUI — holds the PL_ConfigUI script, which controls the default colors used when drawing player entries.

Layout Settings (PL_PlayersBoardUI)

These are the layout settings. You should only touch them if you are building a board with a different size than the prefabs that already ship with the asset.

  • Max Rows: The number of rows per column that counts as "full". The board only starts auto scrolling once every column is full, so raising this lets more players fit before scrolling kicks in.
  • Row Height: The height of a single row. Only change this if you have changed the height of the playerCard prefab (the prefab used to display each player name), so the layout stays aligned with the new card size.
  • Scroll Speed: How fast the board auto scrolls, in UI units per second, once every column is full.
  • Column Spacing: The spacing between rows applied to each column's vertical layout group.
warning

Do not change Max Rows, Row Height or Column Spacing on the prefabs included with the asset. They are already tuned to match those prefabs. If you want a board with different dimensions, duplicate the prefab into a new one and adjust the values there.

Style Settings (PL_ConfigUI)

This script stores the visual style of the board: the colors and image used by the panel itself, and the appearance of each player card.

Panel Settings

  • Background Color: The color of the board's background panel.
  • Border Color: The color of the board's outer border.
  • Tittle Color: The color of the board title text.
  • Names Text Color: The color used for every player's name on the board.
  • Background Image: An optional sprite drawn as the board's background.

Player Card Settings

These control the look of the individual cards (playerCard) that display each name.

  • Card Has Border: When enabled, each player card draws a border.
  • Card Has Background: When enabled, each player card draws a background fill.
  • Card Background Color: The fill color of a player card. Only used when Card Has Background is enabled.
  • Card Border Color: The border color of a player card. Only used when Card Has Border is enabled.
